Young Professionals Who Have Studied Science Technology Engineering And Mathematics Want To Inspire Others To Study In The Field

Michelle Mendez Fonseca, PR Manager of The STEM Embassy invites the community of Aruba, especially young people who want to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STM)

The STEM Embassy (TSE) is an organization founded in 2021 and consists of 12 students from Aruba and Curaçao studying in the Netherlands, the United States and Switzerland. All have the same mission: to raise curiosity and confidence in STEM in an environment that is accessible to one and all on the ABC islands. STEM stands for studies in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Members of The STEM Embassy noticed that many children do not pursue a STEM education. That’s why I want to inform the students about what this study is and what everyone can do afterwards and that there is work for this. There will be several workshops taking place.

This year TSE invites the people of Aruba to the second STEM summer camp: What is your STEM? Aruba 2023 for children aged 12-21 will take place on July 26-29 at the University of Aruba. There are a total of 150 places available and there will be 6 different workshops including engineering, marine biology, chemistry, and more. With the workshops TSE wants the children to have a chance to explore their interest in STEM and inspire the children to continue to discover their passion. The event concludes on July 29 with a STEM Festival that is open to the public. Different organizations and companies in the STEM area will be present to provide information to the entire community.

TSE means that no matter the level of study of the children and in order to participate in STEM knowledge in advance is not necessary. The goal of TSE is to create interest in the STEM fields of study in the most inclusive environment possible.

You can follow all the information regarding registration for the event via Facebook, Instagram @TheSTEMEmbassy and their website www.thestemembassy.com. They don’t miss this opportunity.
