The Aruban Olympic Committee was filled with enthusiastic young people to find out about our work at COA and to get acquainted with our new office.
Received by COA Secretary General Nicole Hoevertsz together with Monica Fajardo and Jonathan Wever of the COA Sports Directorate, the children initiated their walk outside the office in front of the Olympic ring as well as the painting illustrating different sports being practiced. At the time of entering, it was closed to get acquainted with the history of the Olympic Games, explanation of how the COA emblem came to be, different moments captured at the Olympic and Regional Games of our athletes, uniforms worn during the year and of course the athletes who represent our island in the current Olympic cycle, which is a dream of any young person to one day represent our island on an international sports stage.
Finally, the children were able to hold in their hands the various torches that we currently have in our office and to conclude the morning a unique game where each received a pin from the Aruban Olympic Committee to record their visit to our office.
