The Prime Minister congratulates the young Arubans Disjonrick Jacobs and Brainer Lampe

On Monday morning, at the end of the press conference of the Government of Aruba, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes congratulated the young Arubans Disjonrick Jacobs and Brainer Lampe who managed to complete the 140.6 miles of the IRONMAN competition in Maryland, and received the “2023 Physically Challenged/ Intellectual Disability Open Division Award”.

The prime minister expressed that the achievement of these two young people makes us realize that in life there is no limit to achieving what we want to achieve. Disjonrick is a young man in Rolstoel, who despite any disability, puts his mind and heart to make his dreams come true. The achievement of these two young people should serve as an example, to inspire each of us, to believe in ourselves, in our people, and in our country. Looking at the current situation in the country of Aruba, often we as Arubians believe someone from afo faster than we believe our own people.

“I believe in Aruba and its people. Tin does good, tin does evil, and others come to fix what has been done wrong, but we always come together as Arubans for the interests of our country. Here in Aruba we can too, and we are on the way to the lasting finances of our country. Economic development remains positive. What we can influence, we influence, what we can’t, we can’t, but we try to ensure that welfare and progress can reach all layers of our country, close to all citizens, and that it leaves no one behind.

We continue to the table with the Netherlands to arrive at the best alternative by country Aruba. If we fail to lower the interest rates by the end of the year, we will continue to look for ways to refinance, and lower the interest rates on the other debts, so that there is no financial impact. Our Government has been working very hard day and night for a long time on the negotiations with the Netherlands, and we will succeed. It is important that we believe in our people and in Aruba because we can,” the Prime Minister concluded.
