Mr Reynaldo Maduro and former local teacher Mario van der Biezen delighted the elders at the Centro Kibrahacha with a wonderful performance. Reynaldo Maduro is currently on vacation on the Island. He was born in the Maduro-Kelly family of Cas Paloma. He resides and has lived most of his life in the Netherlands with his wife and 4 daughters. Through time he has mastered the art of playing guitar.

Reynaldo Maduro’s late father known as Pancho was also a singer and guitar player.

Mario a former teacher enjoying his pension. Born and raised in playa in a large family who also enjoys playing music and dancing. Mario is a known former dancer for the masiduri dance group. He is a master at playing tambu. After a casual Sunday lunch with family they joined forces and delighted the elders at Centro Kibrahacha and Cas di Mi Chepa on Friday June the 9th 2023. Doing this gives them both great pleasure seeing that music is a passion and brings them peace and enjoyment seeing the elders singing along and making their requests.

Reynaldo will be leaving again soon to go back to the Netherlands. As his vacation is coming to an end. He surely will be back in Aruba for more family quality time and relaxing.

If you are interested in a collaboration or would like to have an afternoon of pleasant singing of native songs or other fun music feel free to contact them for your gathering.

Mario and Reynaldo did these performances as volunteers. Their performance is their way of keeping the Aruban culture alive and  honoring the elders with memories of childhood songs.
