Due to an animal slaughter technique course, the slaughterhouse is open on a limited basis from 24 April 2023 to 28 April 2023 (closed on 27 April due to Kingdom Day).
People wishing to have their sheep and goats slaughtered for Rhino Day are advised to make an appointment before 24 April 2023. Appointments can be made by calling +599 780 1830 or +599 796 3110. Be aware that it can be very crowded. You are advised to make an appointment as soon as possible.
With the reopening of the slaughterhouse in sight, slaughterhouse employees will continue their course. This course is to kill better and safer animals in the future. This is because animal slaughter is an important process in the chain from livestock to consumers. Virtually everything in the slaughterhouse revolves around animal welfare, hygiene, food safety and control of the animals and then the meat.
Increased capacity on the way to Rincon Day
To meet the increasing demand for slaughter of goats and sheep for Rhino Day, in the period from 11 April 2023 to 21 April 2023 slaughterhouses will increase the daily slaughter capacity of the animals. As an additional possibility, animals may be killed on Friday, April 14 and Friday, April 21 as well.
