Traditional parties are not serious in their position on financial supervision

Eng Traditional Parties Want .2

A great part of the confusion that currently exists around financial supervision is thanks to the traditional parties. Both parties are against Raft, but at the same time they are pro financial supervision that can end in a General Kingdom Meadure from The Hague. For the independent Parlamentarian there is a reason why neither the MEP, nor the AVP have a definite position. Because it is very clear that for 37 years, both of them led poor financial management.

As an example Santos do Nascimento gives the “Centrale Accountantsdienst (CAD), the Central Accountant Services, is a department that in 1986 had about 25 employees, while today there are less than half of that. The department is weaker than ever. The question arises of who weakened this department; and in equal shot, the department of finance with the whole system of government officials?

The quality of a public servant also weakened. When you see at the beginning of the Apart Status, the government official had a good command of the Dutch language, today you see many who cannot understand or write it satisfactorily. There is a great lack of capacity and expertise. This is one of the aspects that has caused the Netherlands to lose respect for Aruba.

When the Netherlands agrees on a deadline with our politician and the date is reached and we can not meet, the excuse is that we have no capacity and we want to point finger on Bonaire, Curacao and St. Maarten, while forgetting that in 2015, supervision came over to Aruba to prevent politicians from making the debt bigger. And it is also intended that Financial Supervision (CAFT) does not work and that the Kingdom Law (RAft) does not work either. It is thanks to the lack of financial supervision, there are currently documents on the CAft website with financial information that was never before. The Minister of Finance shows off that there is an implementation report, yes, but that is also thanks to financial supervision. If not for this, there will be neither annual accounts nor performance reports. It is not normal that a country that generates 1 billion guilders a year cannot give a good report of where that money goes.

AVP wants to come with an Office for Social and Cultural Central Planning, just because they don’t want Financial Supervision and they think this Office or Agency will neutralize the Supervision (CAFT). “AVP does not believe in good financial management, but it does believe in marketing with a lot of photos. They don’t believe in fiscal discipline, that’s the reality and that’s why it comes with this idea, just as it happened to come with Paul Krugman’s idea, just as it happened with the idea of the Common Good. Not because you believe in the common good, or in Paul Krugman, but because you want to spend money without being controlled,” the parlamentarian emphasizes. The people must understand that neither the AVP, nor the MEP like a good financial administration because when their administration is bad, you have chances to do corruption without being evidence. When corruption reigns in your country, then poverty also reigns. That is the reality of this country with green and yellow.
