Eng The Minister Met With The Director Of The Lotto Foundation For Sport

The Minister Endy Croes received the Lotto Director for the Sport Mr. Junny Figaroa in Bestuurskantoor, where they held a tremendous meeting. The minister discussed many of his visions and ambition to invest in sports, both to help the Federation – and athletes for their development, but also invest in infrastructure of the facilities that stayed far behind.

Reviewed the status of Guillermo prospero Trinidad Sports Complex in Dakota:

Minister Endy Croes gave an “update” on the details of the reopening project of the Guillermo Prospero Trinidad Sports Complex in Dakota. As is known, this stadium has been disapproved since 2016, where our national football team matches since that year had to be held abroad. As Minister Endy Croes took over, a public promise was made from September 2021 that this stadium would be renovated. Thanks to the Government of Aruba, who agreed to host a substantial sum and Lotto for the Sport that invested 1 million guilders to be able to help start this project in the month of February of the year 2023. The concrete part is completely renovated, the electrical installation and the air conditioners are completely replaced by a much more moderned one. A “state of the art” artificial grass was installed that is certified by FIFA and will mark an athletic track.

It is “top quality”. So everything is working fine.

The Minister Endy Croes explained that a project will be started soon to install four (4) football fields with light, that is, the fields that do not have light and also a structural plan will be perceived by mutual agreement replacing all the existing lights with LED light and here it is also desired that Lotto For Sports invests in this beautiful project. It was explained to the director of the Lotto Foundation the many requests that come in for help and of course they cannot help everyone together, but according to a plan that will be made. Mr. Figaroa explained the status that the Lotto Foundation for Sport currently has, which is the phase to resume the management of the lottery which will be before the end of the year and more funds available for sport will come here.

Minister Endy Croes provided information about the Palo Marga project, where both the Government of Aruba and the Lotto Foundation for Sports invested in it, housing 26 lamp posts with ultra-clear LED lights. Veld de Brasil, Veld de Flatstone, Veld de Brasil, Veld de Flatstone, Baskeball Court Village, Steetwise BMX Track were renewed. Also, light was housed in the Jaburibari BMX Track, the lights in Aruba Juniors got the attention and thus be able to name as many helps that the fields are having.

The minister Endy Croes ended by explaining that in the last 10 years, since 2010 come up could hardly see any investment of Lotto money for Sport in sport really.
