The investigation in the DIP department continues

Investigacion Dip 1

For lack of evidence the public ministry cannot proceed, but internal investigations do proceed. On Wednesday, April 19, the Public Ministry announced that it would not pursue the investigation into irregularities in land grants. The prosecutor’s office reported a lack of evidence for a criminal investigation. Now that the Public Prosecutor’s Office is not continuing, the various internal disciplinary investigations may continue. Authorities responded immediately and can expect more action in the weeks ahead.

It is a well-known fact that in recent years there have been many irregularities with land grants. The judge also confirmed this in the verdict in the Avestrus case. Many citizens were affected by this, seeing how scars lands in Aruba became. Many families cannot afford land to build their houses. And that led to several internal investigations, including on the award of commercial and rental land, as well as houses awarded in the Colorado River. Now the investigations can continue and it is hoped that they will be completed soon so that the DIP can return to order.

This may suggest that those involved may have escaped criminal investigations, but further investigations are ongoing.
