Serving the community for more than 75 years in Aruba, once again last weekend, the Aruba Lions Club set out to continue its “Smile Mobile” project and visited this time Sint Michael Paviljoen as well as San Pedro de Verona on the beach which is our senior care center in our old hospital.
On Saturday, another member of the Aruba Leo Club, Catherine Wernet, was also installed, who for some time has been showing her interest, to be part of the children who do volunteer work for the community.
Welcome to the Leo Club and its leaders with another member.
It was followed by our grandparents’ dental work, which was thoroughly cleaned and others that needed to be fixed, and so the day went on and while this was going on the grandparents were entertained inside with the music of the lions and also with the children of the Leo Club who made sure that the grandparents got a bit of a treat.
With the cooperation of Bright Bakery, Universal Technologies Aruba, Price Smart, Friends of Lions who ensured the taste, together with all the members of Aruba Lions Club and Leo Club, ensured the success of this project once again and also the people responsible for it Lion Igor Croes and Lion Magaly Franken with their good work forming part of the “Smile Mobile” committee.
Soon Aruba Lions Club will launch this project so that all those in the community who really need it can receive their dental services and also other types of medical checks that can be provided in an Aruba Lions Club project. Stay tuned and Aruba Lions Club will announce this soon to contribute once again to the community.
