Tuesday evening in a super cheerful atmosphere took place the graduation of 18 nurses who can now start their new career in their specialization in Nursing, of which 15 are colleagues at Horacio Oduber Hospital and 3 are colleagues of ImSan.
They specialized in the area of o ICU/CCU, emergencies, cardiac care, recovery, dialysis and cardiovascular intervention. It has been possible to bring these studies to specialties, thanks to the close collaboration that Horacio Oduber Hospital has for many years with the VUmc Amstel Academie Amsterdam Holland. A very important study for Aruba given the need for care the staff has and even more specialized personnel. In addition, what is beautiful is that our own people on this island have applied and see their future helping our community in the care.
The Hospital places a lot of emphasis on professionalizing and specializing in order to elevate the care quality. These professionals have shown themselves committed to the hospital, committed to the community, but they also have enormous perseverance to achieve their goal. And in turn, precisely these students will continue to educate others in the future. The Hospital is proud to have achieved this fact and thus continue to improve the care quality provided to the community.
Lenie Denteneer, Manager HOH Academy, expressed that “we are very proud of the students who successfully completed their specialized studies and are now ready to continue with their professional careers in care.”
Ana Mejia, who graduated as a specialized nurse in emergencies (SEH), started the study and officially now has the title of SEH Professional Nurse . “I chose to be a SEH Professional Nurse, because it is a department with a lot of dynamics and also that sees different categories of patients that are something that attracts her. “Every day I learn different things, whether it’s something small or something big. What makes this department attractive is that it always varies.
An achievement that Aruba can certainly be proud of since can be counted on more specialized nurses to provide care in the ICU/CCU department, the Emergency department, dialysis, the recovery Department and also in terms of Cardiology intervention. The dynamic team of the HOH Academy guided this whole process together with the team of the VUmc Amstel Academie Amsterdam Holland that helped these professionals to grow in a new career in care.
The HOH Board of Directors and management team are proud and send congratulations to the eighteen graduates who have demonstrated that care and the patient is a priority for them.
