On September 25, a total of 54 citizens received their certificate of participation in the Finance in my Home course in the Northern districts. The Northern districts are from five districts that have participated in the Finance in My Home course. During four educational sessions, participants in the Finance in My Home course received valuable information and tips on how to be financially effective at home, pay off debts, invest in the future and learn to work with a budget.
It is important that we are aware of our income and expenses and how these affect our financial stability and goals. The course focuses on becoming critical of our financial decisions and also on our attitude that can affect, without being known, the portfolio. The Finance in my Home course is part of Minister Geoffrey Wever’s economic management to encourage Aruban consumers to become aware. A conscious and critical consumer is the foundation of an inclusive and lasting economy. A person’s ability to manage his income and expenses is a necessary skill, which helps to avoid financial problems such as unnecessary debts (or expenses).
The finances in my Home were organized and financed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and developed and presented by the Life Plan Foundation. To bring the course closer to citizens, it was offered free of charge in all districts of Aruba. The course started in Paradera, headed to San Nicolás, Oranjestad and Savaneta. Awo it was the turn in Noord experience Finance in My Home. It is important to facilitate that citizens can arrive and participate in the Finance course in my Home. That’s why the goal was to offer the Finance course in my Home free of charge and in all districts, closer to our citizens,” according to Minister Geoffrey Wever.
Minister Geoffrey Wever thanks everyone who has participated in the Finance in my home course, a course that will certainly contribute to your own development!
