As is well known, every year on Press Day, Mr. Leo Vrolijk organizes an exhibition, “The Lens of My Eyes”, to honor members of the press.
Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes had the honor of attending the opening of this exhibition last Friday at the National Library, where she took the opportunity to thank Mr. Leo Vrolijk for once again organizing a beautiful exhibition. Despite going through very difficult times, Mr. Leo Vrolijk has done his best to make this exhibition possible, including a dedication to his son who died yesterday and who is still struggling to make it.
The Prime Minister extends an invitation to the community of Aruba, to come to the National Library to appreciate this exhibition, which illustrates recent and ancient portraits. What’s more impressive is the story behind all the pictures, which for our young people becomes a story, important to know. “I congratulate Mr. Leo Vrolijk on his 17th edition of the exhibition “The Lens of My Eyes”, and wish him strength to continue for many more years”
