Glory to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Lord we acknowledge your need. We are constantly bombarded with temptations and evil thoughts that lead us into sin and destroy our relationship with God.
We need to repent because repentance humbles us, bringing us back to the way we once heard God’s voice. Repentance means, acknowledging our sin and turning away from it, and we can hope for God’s forgiveness, a comfortable and blessed life.
for there is no profit in dishonesty, sexual immorality, deception, deceit, or any other kind of evil that comes from knowing the truth. We must be careful not to be conformed to the world’s spirit, which is hidden in the deceitfulness of wealth, power, pride, and materialism.
God’s appeal to all men is that they repent. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8) How can we do that? and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you – even Jesus. (Acts 3:19)
Return unto me, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will return unto you, saith Jehovah of hosts. (Zechariah 1:3) What a blessing that is! If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) How can we do that?
He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper; but he that confesseth and is reproved. mercy. (Proverbs 28:13) How can we do this? If ye be willing and hearken, ye shall eat the good of the land; but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured by the sword. The mouth of Jehovah has spoken.
Psalm 103 gives us a complete picture of God’s benefit to repentant ones. The evidence of God’s forgiveness of our sins is that God has compassion on us, just as a father has compassion on his children. This is the blood of our Lord, which heals every disease and forgives every sin.

Repentance gives us a view of who Christ Jesus is in our lives. It removes the fear that sin has brought. Because sin brings fear and shame, (Genesis 3:10) and is the cause of man’s unwillingness to confess, we must repent daily so that the devil does not take advantage of us.
All the ways of a man are right in his own eyes; but Jehovah weigheth the hearts. (Proverbs 21:2) How can you do that? I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgression unto thee.
Lord and thou hast forgiven the iniquity of my sin. (Psalm 32:5) How can we do that? We are arrogant, and deny Jehovah, and turn away from our God; we speak oppression and rebellion, and are deceitful. and devious thoughts come out of the inner man.
And judgment is turned back, and righteousness standeth afar off; for truth is perverted in the street, and uprightness cannot enter. Isaiah 59:13. It is time to repent
