Strengthening the Family of the Lord

Pastor Marcel Balootje

Increase our faith in you

It is very true that we are living in the troubled time foretold in God’s word at 2 Timothy 3:1-9. A time when people are rebelling against God, where standards and values, and respect are falling day by day, and we see the progress of evil. Let each one of you, then, continue to build up his faith, for God is able to build you up. Nature has risen with an immense heat that many cannot endure. Natural disasters are out of control. People no longer respect the lives of others. Hunger and poverty increase every day. science. Materialism, immorality, and perverseness want to dominate the world. We need much prayer, and a firm determination to live for God, and not to take our eyes off his Word, so that we may stand firm in the time of trouble. For nothing is impossible with God”. (Luke 1:37) Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight. Fear not, for I with thee: be not dismayed, for I thy God: I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10. For the time is coming when many will not put on the new personality, but will put on the new personality by which they will recognize the Lord – that is, the Christ. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14) Be sober, and be on the alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8) How can we do that? Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double – minded. (James 4:7-8) What a powerful example for us! For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self – discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7) The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: “Keep your senses. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. “I am the vine; you are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. That’s the daily struggle we have with darkness, and clarity. The darkness of this world leads to destruction, and the light of the world leads to life. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27) What is the meaning of this verse? For the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah shall not fail, for his compassions fail not; They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23) How did this affect her? But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.
