In a somewhat confusing and even controversial development, on Wednesday morning the Public Ministry issued a press release, informing that the corruption case against DIP director Haime Croes and MAS leader Marisol Lopez Tromp had been “suspended”. However, the dossier raises several possible questions.
However, the decision of the OM must be respected and this means that the two suspects related to fraud in the granting of government land in erfpacht, are free from all charges and that the Public Prosecutor’s Office has not found any concrete and legal indications allegedly in this case, which leads to the continuation of the prosecution of these two suspects.
However, the decision of the Public Ministry was also questioned not only because there was no indication of any illegal act by either Haime or Marisol but now it is questioning the way the Public Ministry proceeded which is unfair in its management, given that they did not inform their employers about their position as suspects from the country of Aruba in the Kukwisa case.
Both the DIP director and the MAS MP Marisol Tromp were duly suspected in a criminal investigation and were interrogated for long hours by Landsrecherche but never had a chance to arrest either of them or inform their employers.
In other well-known cases such as Paul Croes’s Ibis case, Benny Sevinger’s Avestruz case, and most recently Otmar Oduber’s Flamingo case, authorities handed over custody to both Croes and Sevinger for several months, placing Croes in solitary confinement at the KIA for weeks and Sevinger, who was held for nearly two months. This is a red light if PG is really aware that in his own department there are family members of this politician who work and also that some very poor model judges even have to give up their bodies to hide their faces in the community.
Otmar Oduber was also imprisoned for several weeks for not obstructing the ongoing investigation but in the case of Kukwisa, neither Haime Croes nor MAS leader Marisol Tromp were imprisoned for a single day. It is also known that these two childhood friends do not work together anymore, but they are three mosquitoes since Marisol started in the politics of the MEP when the party started. The three musketeers Marisol the head, Erol the body and Haime the tail.
Another red light is why didn’t you take Benny Sevinger’s complaints with all his trials against Marisol Tromp?
Marisol was interrogated by Landsrecherche for more than 7 hours but was always “invited” to come to the office to answer questions but at no time did the Public Ministry treat these two suspects the same as the other investigations. In addition, Marisol is known to be a liar and on several occasions has made false accusations.
Marisol Tromp has in the past insisted that she is not a suspect in this case but the Wednesday afternoon press release from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, duly stated that both Croes and Tromp were treated as suspects in the Kukwisa case but that there was nothing concrete to prove their alleged guilt.
It is also a serious matter that MAS MP Marisol during his time as a suspect for corruption was allowed to continue attending meetings abroad both in the Netherlands and Sint Maarten and elsewhere, which IPKO meetings once again showed in other cases measured two hours. A parliamentarian who has no respect for himself or the highest organ of Aruba which is the parliament and its head does not warn that he is a suspect in the Kukwisa case.
Marisol with her pale face always tries to represent Aruba in the delegation sitting with important people and was in a very serious case as suspect in Aruba, this is a disrespect to the people of Aruba and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
People outside can’t imagine who they would trust to sit next to a decent person representing Aruba abroad, this is a shame for Aruba but also shows that the public ministry did not take care to properly inform that the situation in such cases can cause great damage to Aruba.
This situation clearly shows the type of Machiavellian mentality that the MAS leader has. On several occasions in Parliament he was told of his truth where Prime Minister Evelyn Wever Croes stayed on several occasions. However, neither the prime minister nor the speaker of parliament acted to correct the situation where a parliamentarian attends meetings with other parliamentarians of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, representing Aruba, while he was a suspect in a criminal investigation.
The Prime Minister, who was the minister responsible for the DIP, also did not act against its director Haime Croes, who was also a suspect in the serious case.
