On 5 May, the director of the National Library of Aruba received from Rudy Lampe a copy of a text compilation “On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Democratic Network 2003-2023”.
On 30 May 2003, the Red Democratic Party (ReD) was founded in Aruba. This means that on May 30, 2023, the party will celebrate its 20th anniversary. ReD entered parliament twice, from 2005 to 2009 and from 2017 to 2021. He will assume responsibility in the governorship of Aruba from 2017 to 2021.
On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the Red Party presents this compilation of press releases. The goal is for Syrians to research the political history of Aruba. They can be researchers from universities, both local and international, students working on their theses or simply hobbyists.
Back to the roots is the idea behind the compilation, but it only includes communications from the early years of ReD’s existence. It begins with a list of all the articles published in the press from 2003 to 2005 when the RED entered parliament. We thank Carla Paris for the painstaking work on this list. Then a selection of the first press releases of the partyReD with the latest on the role of the press in Aruba, as there is a need for a change in the independence of political parties and a truly independent press. Finally include a copy of the statutes of the Democratic Network, as published in the Landscourant.
