Parliamentarian Jorien Wuite (D66) calls for the restoration of the homage to police assassin Boneiro

Member of Parliament Jorien Wuite (D66) believes that police officer Ferry Bakx, who died in Bonaire in 2016, should be honored in the Garden of Reflection, along with his European-Dutch colleagues. He asked the Minister of Justice and Security, Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius, in writing, how he distinguishes between police deaths in the European Netherlands and the Caribbean.

Question 4 Can you explain in more detail what the distinction between the police of the European Netherlands and the Caribbean is based on, since Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius have been fully integrated into the Netherlands since 2010?

Question 5 Can you explain if the statute of the (private, subsidized) Van Bezinning Foundation prevents tribute from fallen policemen like Ferry Bakx and Deacon?
