Curaçao is gearing up to host more than 300 swimmers from different countries: Germany, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Uruguay, and Venezuela, who will participate in OCEANMAN CURAÇAO scheduled for October 7th and 8th, 2023.
This open water swimming event, promoted and operated by Eventos Deportivos de Alto Nivel SAS – Xportiva from Colombia, with the support of the Government of Curaçao, its Tourism Office (Curaçao Tourist Board), Cas Abao, Rif Forte, the Mangrove Beach Resort, and Pedialyte, has already registered nearly 260 swimmers from over 11 countries. They look forward to not only competing but also enjoying the warmth of the island’s people, its landscapes, and the diverse gastronomy it offers.
Oceanman is a sporting event for athletes of all ages, held on the best beaches in more than 30 destinations worldwide. This edition will take place in the waters of the picturesque Cas Abao Beach, recognized by international rankings as one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
The agenda prepared by the organizers for OCEANMAN CURAÇAO 2023 includes the following activities:
Friday, October 6th, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. REGISTRATION OF COMPETITORS – Rif Fort
Saturday, October 7th, from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
OCEANKIDS – 300m and 600m
OCEAN TEAMS (teams of 3 people) – 500m
SPRINT – 2,000m
Sunday, October 8th, from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
HALF OCEANMAN – 5,000m
OCEANMAN – 10,000m
Oceanman curaçao 2023 has, as its main objectives, the promotion of sports at all ages to encourage healthy lifestyles, contributing to the economic revitalization of the island through the presence of responsible and healthy tourism, and strengthening the tourist appeal of a destination that has been increasingly popular among Colombians for family, couples, or friends’ vacations in recent years.
