Last Sunday, the opening of the Liga 40 plus softball championship organized by Leftovers Aruba took place on the field of Madushi Stars in San Nicolas.
The tournament is dedicated to Mr. Joseph Everon, one of the pillars of Leftovers. The teams that are participating in the championship are: Survival, Criollo Reds, Blackout SBT, Kibaima SBT, Piratas, Leftovers Aruba, Quisqueya, Legends and Macuarima. The championship began on 10 September and the final will be played on 12 November at Madushi Stars Stadium. Minister Endy Croes was present accompanied by his beloved wife Mrs. Dilailah Croes. The Minister of Sports spoke during the opening ceremony and witnessed the first match between the teams of Macuarima and Piratas. Aruba Softball Association also sponsors the championship with umpires, rules and scores. To conclude, Minister Endy Croes thanks Leftovers Aruba for the invitation and congratulates them for organizing the tremendous softball tournament.
