Minister Rocco Tjon

On Monday morning, Minister of Justice and Social Affairs Mr. RoccoTjon, Receve four new electric bicycles, for the Tourism Oriented Police (TOP). The beautiful aspect of this project is that it was executed.

As you know, a few months ago we visited all the police stations where he Political agents themselves could bring forward their concerns, the resources they need to carry out their work properly and so

provide a better service to our community. The budget is one of the points that have been put forward by the Police Agents themselves, and as always, the budget provides enough space to acquire materials that the Police Corps indicates are needed.

These bicycles will be used by the TOP team, to increase security in the city center in Oranjestad, so we can see that tourism is increasing, more boats cruise ships arrive in Aruba, many visitors in the downtown area, which is why these bicycles are extremely important.

It is important to mention that this project is an extension of the camera project of security, which as you know has been recently approved to fully equip the Oranjestad city center with cameras to raise security. With the addition of the bicycles Here, the Police Agents will be much more mobile and more present in the city center, thus ensuring the safety not only for our visitors but also for the community and the businesses in the city center. We are very pleased that the official handover of the bicycles took place with the entire TOP team.
