Minister Di Cultura Xiomara Maduro

The official reopening of the 4 museums of Aruba took place in Fortzoutman. Minister of Culture Xiomara Maduro is very happy that the foundation arubano museum is achieving in cooperation with A.T.A and A.P.A to achieve the opening of what are the museums in Aruba. These are the 4 museums that had to be closed during the period of the COVID pandemic.

This was a very difficult time as the foundation responsible for managing the FMA museums, tried in every way to keep it open, but due to the necessary funds could not arrive on time and this meant that little by little had to limit what the operation is at the time they had to close their doors.

The government has sought various avenues to see how museums can be reopened in a different format that is another way of financing, but if care is taken to ensure that the collections of museums remain safe and conserved, it has continued to work with FMA to achieve this day that once again museums in Aruba can open their doors again after the pandemic. Minister of Culture Xiomara Maduro thanks A.T.A and A.P.A for their great contribution.

Working together in this way means that the museums can start again with a plan for this year, but the years ahead so that not only the people of Aruba but also tourists can come and get to know the place of our culture and our history. At the same time, the invitation remains for the people of Aruba to visit these museums, but also for stakeholders to come together and see how FMA can cooperate with them for their welfare.
