Following the success of the theatre production “Shonnan Bin Tende en Kwenta”, the ACE Foundation is ready to launch the next production “Let’s build Bonaire 3.0”. How would you like to see Bonaire? What could be better? What professions would you like to see grow on our island? Is being an artist a job or a hobby? All of this and more will be explored in this play.
ACE Foundation invites young people aged 13 to 27 who are interested in developing their talents in the field of acting, dance, singing, music, art and even multimedia as both amateurs and professionals to contact ACE Foundation for more information. ACE Foundation will bring professional coaches with extensive experience in their field to guide the youth during this 8-week journey.
ACE is ready to launch workshops on the aforementioned discipline.
These workshops will last for 8 weeks and at the end these artists will be commissioned to create together the work Let’s build Bonaire 3.0. using all the knowledge they will receive during the 8 weeks of the workshop.
This project is the result of a collaboration between Openbaar Lichaam Bonaire and MDT Nederland which is active in the field of Arts and Culture in the Netherlands. This aims to promote the development of artistic talents and then to do something for each other. This aims to strengthen community unity.
The ACE Foundation chose to work with young people aged 13 to 27 because it believes it is important for this group to exchange with each other. Why? A 13-year-old boy goes through one of the most difficult periods of his life, what we know as puberty. This is followed by the stage of adolescence, which lasts from 16 to 21 years. After that, you are a young adult. These three groups can help each other, understand each other, help each other grow, and also learn new things such as how to treat other people who are older or younger than you. The ultimate goal is to motivate and inspire these young people to choose the right profession for their future to help create a better Bonaire. With Bonaire 3.0. they created and presented a vision for a personal future but not for the entire community.
