As part of King’s Day, Downtown Reinvented once again brings another major event on April 27, Downtown Goes Orange. In 2022 under the initiative of the owners in the Weststraat area, together with Impact Hub Aruba joined forces to strategically work in a collective way for the revitalization of the commercial area in Weststraat.

In September 2022, the platform ′′Downtown Reinventa′′ was launched, which will headline a series of events for the Weststraat shopping area, as well as serve as a support for other people in the creative sector who have ideas for organizing events, exhibiting their talents or other artistic disciplines, according to Ms. Mary-Ann Falconi, General Manager of the Impact Hub Aruba. In November 2022, it launched its first event ′′Downtown Food & Art Festival′′ which was attended by over 2,000 people, including cruise tourists.

In fulfillment of the purpose of helping revitalize the Downtown Orange area, the partners in Weststraat are launching the following event, “Downtown Goes Orange”. This event will be of a smaller size than the goal to create a sustainable format, organizing more regular activities every month. Then on April 27, Weststraat will once again be the center of the family environment transforming Harbourwalk starting at 7PM. Sir, Ivan Diaz, Property Manager of Harbour House and Harbourwalk expanded that there will be a variety of craft kiosks, food vendors, pop-up restaurants, and entertainment by DJ Caleto, live music by Acoustica and various other performances by local artists. Romar will be present with his wide assortment of drinks for our guests.

The “Downtown Reinventa” committee would like to thank the owners in the area of Weststraat, Bazarrr, Lima Bistro, Acustica, DJ Caleto, and all the artisans who share the vision of revitalizing Downtown Oranjestad and who once again support this initiative. The Downtown Reinventa committee is very excited about Downtown Goes Orange and hopes that the Aruba community will come and enjoy a unique environment on King’s Day.
