Bethania Chapel Foundation (FKB) together with Pastoral Youth Aruba (PHA) offers an event for the whole family in Noord. The people of Aruba are invited to celebrate King’s Day at the Imeldahof Cloister, starting from 10 am to 4:30 pm. This will be an event with traditional, recreational and educational games for adults and children, there will be entertainment, food and drinks to spend a nice day in a family environment.
To participate in the games, the public is offered an activity card for only Afl. 10, – which can participate in the different stations of among other popular games in groups and individuals. The fund raised with this card will be for the youth of Pastoral Youth Aruba (PHA) who are preparing to represent Aruba in Portugal during the 2023 World Youth Day. With this activity card at the end of the afternoon you can win attractive prizes for the whole family. Thanks to our good merchants who knew how to support our youth.
You can also enjoy story-telling and pop-corn by Sir Richard Dabian. A play based on the story of Compa Nanzy by Lila Richardson. Presentation of various music school groups such as harp schools and dance schools.
Children and their parents can walk through the workshop area by young artist Alyssa Singh and create a beautiful piece of artwork to take home. You can also take a beautiful family photo as a souvenir of the day in our “Photobooth”. Play around with the various games, and don’t forget to take a look at our big flea market.
Of course, this day we will visit the Bethany Chapel, which is an original and unique chapel in Aruba. Find out more about the monks who lived in the Cloister and what they did for Noord Parish, in the exhibition History of Noord Parish.
It should be announced that this monumental building is celebrating its 65th anniversary of existence and 65 years of the blessing of the Bethany Chapel.
This activity at the Imeldahof Cloister focuses on the participatory experience and not on competition. The entrance is completely free.
