House on fire and leaves two dead in Curaçao

On Thursday, August 25, 2023, at approximately 11:43 p.m., the Central Police Headquarters directed police and brantwer units to Coleta Street V. Ostiana was in a house that was on fire.

By the time units and firefighters arrived at the address, they came across a house on fire and two residents, a man and a woman, who had been ejected from the house but were already unconscious.

Ambulances arrived at the scene, but unfortunately could do nothing more for the victims. A police doctor who was present at the scene pronounced both of them dead.

On the orders of the prosecutor, the bodies were seized for further investigation.
Because the family has not yet identified the two bodies, the identities cannot be released. Investigation into the case is ongoing.
