Ten citizens received royal decorations. On Wednesday 26 April, a day before the birthday of His Majesty King Willem Alexander, 10 exemplary citizens of our country received the Royal Decoration of King Willem Alexander from the hand of H.E. the Governor of Aruba, Lord Alfonso Boekhoudt. In order for a citizen to be eligible for a Royal Decoration, in addition to his daily work for a salary, the citizen must do voluntary work without receiving payment. They must have many years of community involvement in sports, scouting, culture, religious aspects, charitable social work and more. Many people in Aruba dedicate themselves to volunteer work in these areas and can come to the event for a Royal Decoration.
