The Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino organized a volunteer activity for Team Members under the Let’s Clean a Beach, slogan, recently. The volunteers hailed from all departments and scoured the stretch of waterfront between the California Lighthouse and the protected white Sand Dunes. The energetic colleagues collected a great number of debris bags at the relatively quiet area on the north-west wild side of the island.
The resort often dedicates a few hours to public beach cleaning, where volunteers spread out to collect and discard random trash.
In the spirit of outdoor activities, the department of Human resources recently organized a hike, under the Let’s Go Hiking initiative, from 5pm to 7pm, on a Friday afternoon, hitting a country trail winding into Rooi Prikichi, a dry river bed, in the wilderness. The group hiked for almost two hours in an area home to one of Aruba’s most colorful birds, the prikichi. All participants enjoyed great weather, discovering hidden scenery, and the company of their peers. Last month, that same group hiked a different trail, starting in Savaneta, all the way to the Arikok National Park.
