Now it’s the turn of the Noord district to participate in the Finance course in my Home. A free course offered to our citizens started on September 5 in Noord district. The course financed from the budget of Minister Geoffrey Wever is spread over 4 weeks. During 4 weeks 60 participants will receive the guide and knowledge to make financial decisions that has a positive impact on their well-being.
Each participant will receive the necessary materials such as pen, a pencil case and a
calculator, and finally a certificate of participation.
To provide support to our citizens on financial management, Minister Geoffrey Wever together with the Life Plan Foundation organizes the Finance course in my Home in all the districts of Aruba. The interest was great for the course, which was already being offered in Paradera, Oranjestad, San Nicolas and Savaneta. It shows that financial education is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Now it’s the turn of the district of Noord to receive guidance and knowledge to make impactful financial decisions positive on their well-being.
There is a need showed by the survey done by the Central Bank of Aruba that out of every 10 households, 3 households spend more than their monthly income. This means that there are
Households on our island are challenged every month to meet all the needs and financial responsibility such as expenses for housing, food, and personal loans. That’s why it is important to give guidance and knowledge to awareness of the consumer, the participant on the impact of each financial decision on our mail and our home.
In the first session, we focused on how to be effective at home by looking at how to save and buy without emotions. With the increase of international prices of commodities affecting the prices of our products it is important to buy consciously and create the space for even a small space. This can contribute to increase awareness of the value of each guilder.
The interest shown by our citizens in the districts of Paradera, San Nicolas, Oranjestad, Savaneta and now Noord are proving the importance for the government to facilitate the guidance and knowledge to our citizens and thus make an important contribution to the personal development of each and our country”, according to Minister Geoffrey Wever said.
Minister Geoffrey Wever is pleased to offer this course to us free of charge Citizens wish each participant every success during the various sessions which will cover topics that will undoubtedly contribute to our responsible management of our wallet.
