Next weekend there will be several activities, the GLW Foundation is organising a fundraising event with the goal to help two couples aged 85 and 84 who 3 weeks ago on Friday lost their house in a fire that burned everything.
The GLW Foundation is a beauty pageant foundation here in Aruba that falls under George Winterdal who told more about another fundraising event that the GLW Foundation would be organizing the coming weekend.
The GLW Foundation holds several fundraising events for people who are unable to raise funds on their own.They offer the opportunity to get help by going to the public through their foundation. Like the case of these couples who also told their need for help being elderly and also recently one had a knee operation and is very grateful to the person who usually passes by to check on them to help them get out of their house when the fire started. It has also been pointed out how this case touches them closely as this year their first finalist is the granddaughter of this couple.
On Sunday, October 1st at the Tanki Leendert “Centro di Bario” they will have this fundraising event for the Bedoya Family that will start from 10:00 am with the sale of snacks, sandwiches, snackbox, cake box and on 12:00 PM they will have chicken soup, meat, pumpkin cream. They will also have chicken with rice and sweet bread. The sale will be until everything is finished or until 4 pm. There will also be a giftbox to donate your contribution. You can also take items such as pampers for the elderly size large and clothes.
The gratitude is goes to foundations such as the FCCA and other organizations and various families who gave a contribution to this family, who helped them with houses and also furniture and other things, as they lost everything. They also lack certain materials such as their glasses, machines to control blood pressure and glucose, ensure (as they have a diet for their sugar). Everything will be appreciated. On Saturdays and Sundays there will also be different Miss Teen Aruba International candidates who participated in this year’s contest who will be with their boxes to also raise money.
