LGBTQ+ activists are against the traditional family as a fundamental institution of our society. That’s why they want to change our laws and even penetrate into the classrooms of our schools. Attacks on the family come like wolves dressed in meat wool.
They use words designed to confuse and dominate us. An example is the word “gender”. We have always used the word “gender” to reflect the difference between men and women. But LGBTQ+ activists give the word “gender” a new meaning of “your identity based on your desires and feelings.” The use of the word “gender” in this way makes it possible that if you are a man who wants to be a woman, that you can. If you are a woman who feels that you are a man, you can be. If you feel that you are a man and a woman alike, that is also possible. This is how they get to fluid genres, queer genres, non-binary or a-genders, two-spirit etc. What they don’t say is that this pun is extremely dangerous, because nowadays it has been very easy to change your whole body. But to change back with the normal functioning of the body may be impossible.
Attacks on our schools can take different forms, such as conversations with the teacher, reading books, watching a movie or play together etc. All these activities are used to indoctrinate the idea that your desires and feelings determine who you are. That’s why they talk about “being yourself” which sounds beautiful, but just then they use words like “bullying” and “discrimination” to say that people who think in a “traditional” way are bullies and discriminate.
Another weapon in the arsenal of activists is the word “diversity”. This word is used to encourage the government to “educate” our young people to embrace homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality, etc. We must “educate” children who have families that have two mothers or two fathers. Under the cloak of “fostering tolerance and respect” “alternative” types of love relationships are promoted.
The situation is complicated, because it is important that we respect the dignity of everyone, regardless of religion, political color, race or sexual orientation. The traditional position respects the inherent dignity of each person, and advocates dialogue and listening to those with different opinions. The position of Christ has always been in defense of the blackest and most oppressed and that is why the Christian takes the side of the person who suffers bullying, violence, insults or unjust discrimination. But that does not mean that we have to invent a fantasy world to accommodate desires and feelings, while the reality is that there is a natural order in which only the union between a man and a woman can generate new life. This natural order is the foundation of society and carries responsibilities that we cannot put aside simply because our emotions want to take us to another direction.
