Four customs officials participated in the Four-Day Walk Marathon in Nijmegen

Minister Xiomara Maduro congratulates the four customs officers for their performance and for representing their department and our country Aruba.

Recently, Minister Maduro of Finance and Culture, received 4 customs officials representing the Customs Department at the 4 Days Walk Marathon. These customs officials are Jerrold Tromp who participated 5 times, Marlon Ruiz who participated 17 times, Giovanni Davelaar 15 times and Humphrey Richardson, who started it 24 years ago for the Department of Customs.

It was a pleasure for Minister Maduro to meet them, where they shared their experiences in this walk which is the largest walk in the world. More than 45 thousand people, of 70 different nationalities, participate every year in this event for 4 days 30, 40 or 50 kilometers. All this for the sake of those who are partakers of what is called the grace of the cross, which is a reward according to their works. Minister Maduro thanks these 4 customs officials for their performance and once again represents our country with dignity in this walk.
