Former Minister Otmar Oduber called a press conference after the Public Ministry issued a statement. The flamingo case began in 2019 when the order was given to prosecute Otmar Oduber. There were 7 prosecutions involving the flamingo case.
According to Otmar Oduber the flamingo case was created by a KPA official who made the report in the unit called BCI. This department produces seven reports without evidence, but on the basis of the witnesses they say they have found according to their checks that they can trust.
However, after being detained and tortured, all seven trials were dropped due to lack of evidence. He searched homes, laptops, phones everywhere he could find and found no evidence, even money found in his parents’ home was returned.
How could it be possible to prosecute such a person when all seven of the reports they made were thrown off the table because they were false. Today, seeing this officially, Otmar Oduber announced that he has officially filed a complaint with our new Aruban PG. The complaint was her last clue to the possibility of doing something fairly in the flamingo case. Otmar Oduber denounced the Cuerpo Policial Aruba, the unit of the BCI and the officials who signed the 7 protocols.
