The project is being implemented successfully and most importantly, safely. For the Government of Aruba the introduction of the Eagle LNG project to supply natural gas to Web Aruba NV, is very important, as it will greatly contribute to the reduction in the price of natural gas water and electricity.

EAGLE LNG is an essential part in the development of the RDA Ground Energy Zone in San Nicolas. It’s not because a hydrogen refinery, hydrogen electrolysis plant for Aruba, the Aruba Hydrogen Valley, has been announced, that one will replace or close the other. All would be against it. You will both walk at the same time. Each has its own purpose and value. There is no doubt that for the country of Aruba and the Government of Aruba the EAGLE LNG project is extremely important for the supply of natural gas to the WEB, so that we can finally say goodbye to our dependence on Heave Fuel Oil, which will help us enormously in stabilizing and reducing the price of water and electricity, all contrary to what certain media have published. But in the meantime, a tender is taking place for the supply of Heavy Fuel Oil to FMSA. “We are making all efforts at various levels, including short and long term, to establish and reduce the price of water and electricity for our people”, the governor explained.

The president is extremely proud that Aruba is leading the way in the Caribbean as a small but determined island to meet the Paris 2050 agreement.
