As we all know, on May 5, APA workers went out to protest with their FTA union. A month later, EA News asked the director of APA what the current situation is if he managed to get to the table and if he would be able to sign the CAO with the workers.
Director of Aruba Ports Authority Marc Figaroa has informed that the management of APA has reached an agreement with the FTA and if all goes as planned the CEO will sign the FTA with the syndicate this week. The APA director still didn’t understand why he had to walk out seeing that they were always in negotiations together.
At the table, the difference was so small that it could not be removed. At the same time, we believe it is important that all employees have all the relevant information. APA is always willing to contribute but it must be in a responsible way to ensure the welfare of APA.
