Whitney Ribeiro BA (21) recently got her Bachelor’s degree in Geology and Biology at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island in the United States and will continue to specialize in paleontology at the Paleontological Research Institution.
This study is about the history of life on earth based on information in fossils that are the rest of plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, one cell lives, replaced by stone or impressions or organisms preserved in rocks.
Brown University is a private Ivy League research university in Providence, Rhode Island. It is the seventh-oldest institution of higher education in the US, founded in 1764 as the College in the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations private research university.
Paleontological Research Institution pursues and integrates education and research, and interprets the history and systems of the Earth and its life to increase knowledge, educate society, and encourage wise stewardship of the Earth.
Whitney graduated in May 2020 from the International School of Curaçao and received the same year the Mercedes Winkel Service Award for volunteering in the Curaçao community.
Her results during her studies at Brown University were so good that she already started to work as the assistant to the director of the Paleontological Research Institution in Ithaca, New York.
This will allow her to continue to specialize on this scientific level.
