The National Library of Aruba presents an exhibition by artist Danilo Geerman. This opens at 6:30 on Friday, May 5. Everyone is cordially invited to visit the exhibition Daylight Dreamscapes, which will be held until 26 May during the regular opening hours of the Playa library. The opening will be on Friday, May 5th at 6.30pm.
The renowned artist Danilo Geerman presents his long-awaited solo exhibition in May.
For the exhibition now taking place, Danilo will highlight some works he has made in recent years. Most of his works are oil paintings on canvas, (which is his specialty) but he also uses other media (materials), as he works in different disciplines.
Five years ago Danilo had his last solo exhibition, in collaboration with Ateliers ¢89, in the hall of the Unle Luis Store in San Nicolas. The exhibition was well received by the public. During that time, Danilo did not sit still but worked on his art and on his network and other aspects of his practice. Danilo took part in group exhibitions.
Danilo negotiated with two galleries in New York, but during the pandemic both closed their doors. That means he has to start over.
In February of this year, I was in Mexico City, which is the largest art fair in Latin America. Here Danilo made contact with other galleries. She also visited several galleries during her time there, and discovered that Mexico City is the art capital of Latin America. She also realized a project in Taller Grafica Nahual in the city center. Danilo presents his work through his Blog.
