CURPA leader Eric Ras: The deadline for a decision is closing

Economic developments are booming in Aruba, and the date for crucial decisions for Aruba is approaching. CURPA party leader Erick Ras says he believes the government has no plan to remedy the problem they have got themselves into. According to CURPA leader Eric Ras at the time of Aruba’s acceptance, they knew full well that the government had to pay the 916 million florins.

It could also be seen that the prime minister does not know what to do as there were rumors that if there is no debt discharge there will be no RAFT. The leader of the CURPA party believes that the first day the minister signed, she did not ask if there was a dispensation or not and took the money, now that the time has come to repay the money, the prime minister says that there is no money. The leader of the CURPA party also followed the developments in the parliament where there is a party voicing its desire to surrender the autonomy of Aruba.

However, considering all these developments, it remains only to pay off the debt of Aruba at a rate of 8%, and this would create a very difficult situation for Aruba and we all know that for a long time now the country of Aruba has no surplus that can be said to exist at the time when Aruba will pay off its debt.

What Aruba is currently doing is refinancing debts, increasing our spending, raising interest and throwing away more money. According to the leader of CURPA a lot of money goes into the government’s coffers but we don’t see where this money goes and day by day we see this situation in Aruba getting worse, our elders can’t afford their medicine, old age pension that is collected from a single person is not enough to live a good life as it should be and that is worth it. As leaders of CURPA we cannot mistreat our elders.

As the leader of CURPA since the 2017 campaign has been saying that our grandparents should be treated well and this is exactly what is happening where money does not reach our grandparents, money reaches everywhere else, except our grandparents.
