Curaçao Ports Authority (CPA) has signed a “Sister Port Cooperation Agreement” with N.V. Suriname Port Management, formalizing a partnership to explore commercial opportunities between the two port companies in the areas of cargo, infrastructure, cruise development, and maritime services related to the petroleum and gas industry, among others. 

The Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Ruisandro Cijntje, the Consul General of Suriname, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CPA were also present at the signing of the agreement by the management of CPA and Suriname Port Management. CPA is constantly seeking to strengthen its relationships with ports worldwide that are meaningfully connected to the port of Willemstad. 

In this regard, CPA maintains close ties with prominent ports and maritime entities such as the Port of Miami, the Port of Rotterdam, Panama Canal Authority, Sans Souci Port, Haina International Terminals, APORDOM, Aruba Ports Authority, the Port of St. Maarten, the Port of Bonaire, and Kingston Wharves Limited in Jamaica. curacaochronicle.com
