They put one thing on black and white today, and tomorrow they talk about something else. It is evident that many people have an opinion about Raft’s Law, even if they have no idea of the content. The perception of what the contents of the raft are, is also communicated by politicians within the coalition and opposition.
The reality and the content of RAFT have many people confused. Therefore today once again, I will provide the real truth for the people with documents in hand for the people to see for themselves, who speaks the truth and who lies again! The People themselves will be able to deduce how the politicians in the opposition are ready to hand over and sell our homeland for ten bucks to the Netherlands! Points of the MAS faction in a report of Parliament May 20, 2022 which went to the Dutch House of Representatives. Then the “view,” the way Marisol Lopez-Tromp looks at the RAFT, but doesn’t say anything about it in public.
On the contrary, she speaks against her own concerns and sings other stories in the press and videos that the government should accept the RAFT as it is. Marisol in her politics of disappointment vociferates the complete opposite of what she wrote in her report. Read for yourself:
On page 15, the first sentence of their view expresses the following: “The ambitious goal to achieve a sustainable public finances, but MAS finds that this has not been thought nor planned properly. “(For The Netherlands) MAS Party continues to say: “It is important that the budget standards are realistic and achievable, otherwise it makes no sense to put them in the law.”(Of RAFT) MAS says: “Holland had very little attention for the fact that when they put very ambitious targets for Aruba’s budget, this would form serious risks for the economic growth potential for Aruba. On page 16, below the point “Points of Interest and desireability” Marisol says:
The diversification of the Aruban economy is good, only if investments can be made.
The government of Aruba is going to need hundreds of millions of guilders. Budget targets may hinder theseinvestments. Neither in the law, nor in the explanation are informed how the Netherlands thinks about this aspect. The question is, how will the RAFT do with the budgetary objectives, so that these will not obstruct the international investments from reaching Aruba. These are some of the points of MAS, which went to the House of Representatives in the report. Unfortunately, Tweede Kamer’s reply never came, because the Netherlands did not want to respond to any faction. In this scope, how does Marisol López-Tromp and Mrs. Gunn want to declare that they want the raft without having ever received answers on their questions and concerns?
Seeing the serious consequences that can arise through the RAFT, how the people of Aruba can consider Marisol and Gunn? It was not they who painted devastating scenarios in their view against RAFT? How can Marisol and Gunn stop then “pro” a RAFT seeing all the serious consequences this law may have with it, and not communicate this with the people? What are the real reasons why they are hiding it?
It is important that the budget standards are realistic and achievable, otherwise it does not make sense to put them in the law.”(VIEW OF MAS PARTY, 2022). In none of her speeches in Parliament, nor press conferences, nor political videos does it seem that Marisol cares about what she herself wrote in the “report.”But to write that the budget standards on the RAFT are unrealistic and not reachable and that “the Netherlands had very little attention for the fact that when very ambitious targets are set for Aruba’s budget, this will form serious risks for the economic growth capacity for Aruba,” and still claps the hands hard in favour of RAFT and demands for the RAFT to be accepted by the government without negotiating, is totally unacceptable.
Marisol’s position and rhetoric condemns herself, because she looks the same as Miguel Mansur who has two faces: A politician who is willing to shout anything to discredit everyone, and the other who recognize the serious problem with the current RAFT represents for our country in its current form. Marisol is not serious and still lies time to time that the RAFT is excellent for Aruba. Now who are you going to believe? The document of the official “report” that was sent to the House of Representatives or the lies of Marisol as a politician? Paper cuts!
