The government and FUTURA introduced the Edutech project for the school year 2022 – 2023.

Participating schools can present their innovative projects and win digital school material from Edutech and has made Afl.400,000 available for use in the four cycles of Edutech.

As the winning school, Colegio Laura Wernet Paskel recently received its Chromebooks and tablets for use in grades 1 and 2, which will significantly help the teachers in their classes. Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes, on behalf of the government of Aruba, thanked all participating schools in the Edutech project during the past scholar year. She encourages schools that did not win or participate to do so in the coming scholar year in Edutech for a chance to win digital school materials for their school.

The Prime Minister stated that education is the foundation on which our island can prosper. It empowers our residents, strengthens the community, and leads progress. We also know that the world is changing very fast. That is why it is so important to equip the younger generation with relevant resources to meet the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. The only way to guarantee this is to teach them the skills of the 21st century and to help them adapt and succeed.
