After a couple of months of preparation, CEDE ARUBA on Sunday September 10th together with IBiSA, Centro de Bario Noord, team of volunteers and Kerekentenchi party Xplotion presented BAN CAYA
A total of 40 sports, social, cultural and health organizations provided information and demonstrations of what they have to offer. CEDE ARUBA together with IBiSA have taken care of specific details to make families happy as of 3 p.m. The activities were varied, including cycling, Hotwheels, skateboarding, ImSan, Red Cross, Health Bus, Brandweer, Santa Rosa, 131, FADA, Scouting Aruba (Noord), Hammersharks baseball and much more. Caya Frans Figaroa, the parking lot in front of the complex and all around was full of activity. There was a kids corner with face painting sections, Dino Jump, Pierewietje dance show, Rosea Cultural, and various artists from the Noord neighborhood
CEDE ARUBA would like to thank the FFD’s managing team for their immense contribution, as well as the groups of volunteers who from 12 noon worked hard to put tables, chairs and numbers on the tents and later in the evening to reopen them. There was a group of volunteers on the bus, the Aruba Biking Squad, who were running along the route to make sure everything was running smoothly. Many thanks to all of them for their good work. During this afternoon two awards were presented, one by the skateboard foundation recreational who through their sixtytree brand created a skateboard with the CAYA logo specifically for the event. Here the young Lisa Croes who participated in the event won the skateboard. The other prize was awarded to the winner of the HotWheels competition which was young Ethan Winklaar and he won his trophy The indoor part of the stadium hosted U7 football competitions. The result was 3rd place for Bubali, 2nd place for Nacional and the winners of BAN CAYA SOCCER was Riverplate. Congrats to all who participate in various competitions. The Riverplate team along with Minister Endy Croes inaugurated WAW mobile, another new project between CEDE ARUBA and IBiSA, which will bring sports and movement activities to children and youth in FCCA neighborhoods
In nutrition and movement there were also several foundations, masseuses, nutritionists It is estimated that 2000 people came to enjoy this afternoon. With the music of Quality Brass our Children’s Queen of Carnival 2023 Ziah Amalia together with Children’s Queen of Noord 2024 Xeena Dijkhoff accompanied by Prince and Children’s Pancho and Youth Pancho of Carnival 2023 closed this successful event and passed on the route of BAN CAYA and here everyone could join the parade to the parking lot of Frans Figaroa
