From August 24 to 31, Cas di Cultura will proudly host the multicultural entertainment group and Samba dance school, Fidelinas, all the way from Amsterdam. Fidelinas brings with them a vibrant celebration of Brazilian culture through their unique performances and educational initiatives.
Founded with a clear mission, Fidelinas aims to transform entertainment into an unforgettable experience for every attendee, regardless of the event’s scale. Their core values of energy, passion, and professionalism drive their commitment to delivering top-notch Brazilian entertainment in the Netherlands.
Highlighting the Best in Entertainment
“We focus solely on what we excel at. This means we do not do everything, but what we do, we do well. Our Fidelinas Show Team trains rigorously each week, consistently achieving outstanding results!” said a spokesperson for Fidelinas.
In collaboration with local partners, Club di Movimento and musicians from Scol di Musica Rufo Wever, Fidelinas presents ‘Cultures of Carnival’. This multidisciplinary production explores the differences and similarities between Brazilian and Aruban carnivals, delving into questions about cultural roots, mutual reflections, and opportunities for cross-cultural learning.
Educational Outreach
‘Cultures of Carnival’ will be performed three times exclusively for primary school students, with overwhelming demand leading to swift sell-outs. Additionally, Fidelinas will conduct two Samba workshops open to local youth aged 8 to 18, providing aspiring talents the chance to train under the guidance of professional dancers.
The week culminates in a public performance of ‘Cultures of Carnival’ on Friday, August 30, at 8:00 PM, bringing together all elements of this enriching cultural exchange.
