For the year 2023 the BIATA Foundation will send Boneiro’s first representative to Miss Teen Grand Universe. Miss Teen Grand is a youth beauty pageant of more than 88 thousand followers that is run by Mr. Johan Gutierrez who is a person with more than 10 years of experience in the beauty industry both locally and internationally.
In the week of 4 to 11 December 2023 in Cartegana, Colombia will be the 4th edition of one of the most important youth tournaments worldwide. On April 8, Angeliz Mavares Gerder was crowned as Bonaire’s representative for the pageant.
In September 2022, Ms. Gerder was the first runner-up during the first edition of Miss Teen Bonaire organized by the BIATA foundation. Angeliz Mavares Gerder is a 16-year-old girl, not unknown here on Bonaire. Angeliz is fluent in 4 languages: Papiamento, Dutch, English and Spanish. She is a 4th grade student at the Boneriano High School and is also dedicated to helping young people from Bonaire develop their talents in the area of modeling in the Transformation Academy project.
The LIFE Foundation is convinced that a debut of Bonaire in the person of Angeliz Mavares Gerder will bring Bonaire’s name once again to the forefront and this will certainly benefit Bonaire’s tourism.
