Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has released its
preliminary figures for July 2024, revealing that Bonaire welcomed 14,320 stayover
visitors during the month. This represents an increase of 1.5% compared to July
2023, when the island welcomed 14,109 stayover visitors and compared to the pre-
pandemic performance in July 2019, which saw 13,100 visitors.
Dutch visitors remained the largest group, accounting for 7,292 visitors (50.9% of the
total), followed by Americans with 2,996 visitors (20.9%). Visitors from Curaçao
accounted for 2,052 visitors (14.3%), with significant contributions also coming from
Aruba, Germany, Belgium, Brazil and Colombia.
US visitors primarily came from Florida, Texas, Georgia, California, Colorado,
Pennsylvania, New York, and other major states. The age groups with the highest
representation were 45-54 (20.4%) and 55-64 (20.4%), indicating a strong interest
from mature travelers. Dutch visitors mainly hailed from North Holland, South
Holland, and North Brabant, with the dominant age groups being 45-54 (20.8%) and
18-24 years old (16.9%).
