On Thursday, July 25 th , Tourism Corporation Bonaire
(TCB), in collaboration with Jack Tours, provided a lovely tour in the downtown area
for the guests of Kas di Mimina and Kas di Kuido as part of their program for the
month of July, with the theme “Turista riba mi Isla”.
The tour was in the 'trolley' of Jack Tours, which is now completely painted with the
TCB branding: It's in our nature. The Bonaire Trolley picked them up at Kas di
Mimina and Kas di Kuido, took them for an hourlong ride through the streets of
downtown, with a stop for food in between, and dropped them back off at their two
different locations.
While passing in front of the TCB Building, the elderly were greeted by the TCB
team. In return, the group on the tour shouted, “Thank you!” while waving their
homemade Thank you signs. If you were walking on the main street, you could hear
them singing along to their favorite music.
This was a great opportunity to give back to the community and celebrate the people
who have helped pass down our traditions and maintain our heritage. TCB would like
to give a big thank you to all the people who dedicate their lives to taking care of the
elderly and making sure that they also get to enjoy the island from a tourist’s
perspective.
