It’s finally his turn today that we will report on the beautiful exhibition “Terra canta”, in the studios of Atelier 89 under the direction of the great artist Elvis Lopez and his team of artists that has already taken place.
Workshops usually last 6 weeks or two months, sometimes a week and are crowned with a beautiful closure with a tremendous exhibition shared with art-loving public, all the works created by the group of people, among them artists from various or different disciplines in art.
Sometimes there are painting classes, craft classes, or film classes. The exhibition “The Earth Sings” also brought many people together in the curated Atelier 89 under the clear night sky and after a nice explanation and introduction of those who participated this time in the workshops, the public could go inside the various premises and admire all the works made by hand, with a kind of clay mud then placed in the oven.
Many beautiful works of different sizes and colors and shapes of familiar or abstract and unique things. Lady Ruth has even seen some that look like little monsters with eyes that are often accustomed to seeing fantasy works and all sorts of shapes. We think that they may be the teeth of some other creature of nature.
One of the artists was Mrs. van Blarcum who is not an unknown artist. We met with Samuel Eman, an ardent lover of all the arts. And Samuel also enjoys attending the beautiful concerts and theatrical performances at the Cultural Center. The Aruban artist couple, currently living in our motherland the Netherlands, Ryan Oduber and his beautiful wife, the dance teacher artist Alydia Oduber-Wever are causing a lot of furor in the Netherlands with their works e.ö.cu “Before the wind, I hope to have the title good”) with a beautiful hamaka style dress, in an exhibition of textiles or fabrics of all colors and shapes. We also read about it on facebook.
“De appel valt niet ver van de boom” because Alydia is one of the princesses of Diana Antonette, the best dance teacher in Aruba in all possible dances with students at the School of Diana Antonette at the House of Culture, where also her other princess Pierangeli Wever gives lessons to our children and expressive young people who want to express themselves in dance, be it folklore, jazz or modern. We congratulate all artists and art lovers with their beautiful and unique works in the workshop and exhibition “Earth Sings” , a beautiful title for the exhibition, certainly looking at the lively and interesting life that the works represent. Thank you for reading our story with attention and care! Have a good and sweet day filled with wisdom in our joys. A hug to all of you! Wisdom in our joy Written by Ruthy “Lady Ruth” Vrieswijk-Bergen
