Aruba Fashion Week 2024 – 5th Anniversary Celebration

This year, Aruba Fashion Week commemorates its 5th anniversary
from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba. On Monday morning, the official
press conference took place at the Governors’ Suite of The Ritz Carlton Aruba where organizers,
partners and the local media gathered to share all the fabulous details about this year’s edition.
Over the past five years, this event has positioned itself as the Caribbean’s leading fashion showcase,
acting as a premier platform for regional and international designers, stylists, models, and industry
professionals. Angel Leon Jr., founder and director indicated that, by offering a fusion of cultural
vibrancy and high-end fashion, Aruba Fashion Week has elevated the visibility of Caribbean fashion
talent on the world stage.
Event Highlights:
Aruba Fashion Week 2024 will feature a dynamic schedule across three days, as explained by Head of
Communication, Elizabeth Guanipa:
 Kick-Off Party (November 28 th , 2024) – Celebrate the kickoff of Aruba Fashion Week in the lush
garden of Bohemian Restaurant, where designers, models, and fashion lovers gather under
twinkling lights. Enjoy exquisite cocktails, delicious bites, and live music in a vibrant atmosphere
that blends style and nature, setting the perfect tone for a night of elegance.
 Welcome Toast (November 29 th & 30 th , 2024) – Begin the evenings with an elegant Welcome
Toast at The Lobby Bar of The Ritz-Carlton, from 5 to 6 pm. Connect with designers, models, and
fashion enthusiasts over cocktails, creating an exciting atmosphere just before the runway
shows unfold.
 Opening Night (November 29 th , 2024) – The event launches with a spectacular runway show
that will unveil collections from Touche Collection from Colombia, Altagracia from New York and
our own Maison Ryon, to name a few, alongside prominent international fashion brands.
 Fashion Showcases (November 30 th , 2024) – On day two, the event will hold diverse runway
presentations including Essence x Maria Isable from Holland, New Model from Curacao and a
closing by Ronchi de Cuba.

 Showroom & Closing Day (December 1 st , 2024) – To cap off the celebrations, the event will host
an interactive Showroom where guests can meet designers, explore the inspiration behind their
collections, and purchase exclusive pieces directly from the runway.
 Fashion Party (December 1 st , 2024) – Join us at the Fashion After Party in House of Mosaic to
celebrate another successful edition! Dance the night away in a stylish ambiance with top DJs,
creative cocktails, and a lively crowd, as we toast to fashion’s finest moments.
Local model, Shekainah Daal is doing double duty this time in charge of the showroom as well as
strutting on the catwalk. She explained all about the wonderful opportunities presented by this
particular event to the brands, commercial buyers and fashion lovers.
A Platform for Regional Fashion Professionals
Local fashion icon and the event’s Head of Operations, Fernando Mansur, assured that Aruba Fashion
Week is more than just a series of fashion shows; it is a collaborative platform that fosters growth and
connectivity among fashion professionals across the Caribbean. By providing a high-profile venue for
designers, stylists, and models, the event plays a critical role in expanding the Caribbean’s influence in
global fashion while encouraging regional economic growth through creative industries.
Aruba’s premiere fashion designer, Ronchi de Cuba spoke about the fabulous platform the Aruba
Fashion Week gives to both seasoned designers as newcomers. While Yahira Santoni from The Ritz
Carlton Aruba expressed how the Aruba Fashion Week fits perfectly within the luxury lifestyle market of
the prestigious hotel. Junior Arends spoke on behalf of the Department of Culture Aruba, Yahira Santoni
from The Ritz Carlton Aruba, Milouska Briezen from Courtyard by Marriott and Tita Iglesias represented
major partner, Aruba Tourism Authority.
