Aruba Coast Guard And Police Again Manage To Intercept Boats.02

On Friday 14 April in the early hours of the morning,  Coast Guard  in close collaboration with the Aruba Police  intercepted a boat that tried to enter Aruba from the north. After a chase the route had to fire warning shots and direct fire at the boat’s engines so the Coast Guard could stop the boat. During the chase, the people aboard the suspect boat threw packages into the sea. The Coast Guard managed to detain nine people on board the boat suspected of being about to enter Aruba. After a search of the lake by Dash plane, helicopter and a Metal Shark from the Coast Guard, a substantial amount of packages containing marijuana were found.

On Friday 21 April, once again, in the north of Aruba,  Coast Guard    once again in good collaboration with the Aruba Police  intercepted another boat with 9 people on board that tried to enter Aruba clandestinely. In both cases the people are from Venezuela. Both cases were conducted in close cooperation with the Aruba Police. The people and drugs were handed over to the KPA.
