Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) on behalf of Airports Council International of the Latin America & Caribbean region (ACI-LAC), will host the 1st official ACI-LAC Airport Day Aruba 2023 on September 12, 2023. 

ACI-LAC represents the Latin America & Caribbean region of Airports Council International, the only worldwide professional association of airport operators. ACI-LAC represents over 270 airports in 34 countries and territories. ACI-LAC has a range of Global and Regional initiatives to assist members in raising standards and promoting professional excellence in airport management, operations, and customer service. 

ACI-LAC Airport Day is a one-day event for a specific airport or group of airports with a common interest and to reach a specific target audience and hosted at different locations throughout the year. ACI-LAC Airport Day Aruba 2023 with the theme “Catering to the next 100 years of traveling”, will focus on topics such as Future traveler wants and needs, Innovation, Balancing aviation traffic growth and sustainable small island state economies and Attracting future aviation leaders. The speakers consist of both local and international speakers from airports and airport worldwide partners from Munich, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Miami, and Aruba. The main objective of this event is to open conversations with key stakeholders, airport partners, aviation entities, government, and tourism entities focusing on the needs of future travelers and how each entity will adapt and enhance their services to best cater to new demands and expectations. 

With these initiatives, ACI-LAC continues to seek new and innovative ways of approaching issues and providing advice and support for the benefit of airport members and the communities they serve.

This event, as part of our celebration of one hundred years of Aviation in Aruba, will host local and international speakers, all subject matter experts, that will provide valuable insights on current trends related to travelers’ needs. The event will look into what is ahead for Airports, what airports need to consider to properly build, strengthen our customer service, stimulate innovation and new business opportunities, and overall transformation of our airport facilities and services to best cater to the needs of the future”, said Angeline Flemming, Director Health, Safety and Sustainability of Aruba Airport.
