Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA Airport) with regards to the COVID-19 situations has prepared a series of scenarios as a preparation for what could possibly happen at the airport. AUA Airport has entered the next phase of the COVID19 scenario’s as AUA Airport has received information from an Employer in the AUA Airport community that an employee of one of our Airport users has tested positive for COVID-19. The current case was described in one of the scenario’s and AAA is executing now the measures belonging to this scenario in an organized way.
Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is working on identifying all persons that had direct contact with the Employee and is in contact with the Employer as well who is taking preventive measures.
- All AAA risk group employees have as per immediate been sent home on COVID-19 leave.
- Employer of the positive employee has taken precaution and has taken already self-quarantined measures. Workplace in question has been closed.
- AAA is busy with Employer to identify others who have been in contact with the Employee in question
- AAA is doing a thorough cleaning of the work area in question as a precautionary measure.
- AAA has informed all AAA employees and AUA Airport community of the latest COVID-19 developments
3 AAA employees have been sent home as a precautionary measure to self-quarantine for the coming 14 days as they were in direct or indirect contact with the employee of the third party that tested positive.
